Portland-based professional brings background spanning all facets of the marine business
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Marine insurance expert Andy Lewis has joined Alliant Insurance Services as Vice President within its Energy and Marine Group. With a background spanning all facets of the marine business, the Portland-based Lewis will service a diverse, national portfolio of clients through the delivery of industry-focused insurance and risk management solutions.

As one of the region’s leading marine insurance professionals, Lewis joins Alliant with an expertise as broad and multifaceted as the marine business itself, spanning tug and barge, marine construction, pilot liability, cargo/stock throughput, blue water shipping, ports and terminals, and renewable energy. Prior to joining Alliant, he was Vice President with a Portland-based insurance brokerage firm servicing a large portfolio of marine clients.
An industry expert, dedicated philanthropist, and former college athlete, Lewis holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and history from the University of Washington, where he was a member of the Huskies’ 2001 Rose Bowl champion football team. He is past president of the Maritime Commerce Club and a board member with Friends of the Children, a local charity focusing on at-risk youth.
